This is the feedback mechanism England Touch has provided for its new Participation Eligibility Policy, so we believe it is important that they hear directly from the Touch community.
The guidance below has been created by Pride In Touch and IGR to help people consider their response. We don't want to tell you what to say. Whether you're speaking personally or on behalf of your members, we encourage you to reflect on what matters to you and put it in your own words.
If you're not sure where to start, consider:
The impact
- How does the policy affect you, your teammates, members or people close to you?
- How has it made you or your community feel about your place within Touch?
- Could it affect people's willingness or ability to participate?
The process
- How do you feel about a significant participation policy being introduced with immediate effect and without wider consultation?
- Should those directly affected, alongside clubs, players and relevant community organisations, have been involved before the decision was made?
- What evidence and transparency do you expect when decisions like this are taken?
The precedent
- What precedent does this set for how significant decisions are made within Touch?
